SPACE FOUNDATION

CENTER FOR INNOVATION AND EDUCATION

Space for You. Space for All.

Center for Innovation and Education, a division of Space Foundation, is a lifelong learning platform for the global space ecosystem that delivers workforce development and economic opportunity for students, teachers, entrepreneurs and professionals via programs offered digitally worldwide or at Discovery Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Careers in space exploration and space-inspired industries are available to all demographics and skill sets — STEM and non-STEM — and thousands of space technology patents are available for commercialization by entrepreneurs and small businesses fueling a deep and rich supply chain.

Through its Workforce Development Roadmap, Center for Innovation and Education details five core disciplines designed to combat the obstacles standing in the way of building a sustainable workforce:

AWARENESS

ACCESS

TRAINING

CONNECTIONS

MENTORSHIP

CI&E brings together business, government, education and local community constituencies to serve the entire life cycle of the workforce—from student explorations to professional careers.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

We support PreK-20 students with standards-based curriculum that uses space principles to integrate STEM.

We support teachers through professional development programs, STEM lesson plans and scholarships.

Our programs for young aerospace professionals foster meaningful peer relationships and provide access to space leaders.

We offer training that addresses the most common challenges in establishing or expanding space-based technology companies.

We provide programs for individuals and corporations to connect with the greater space community.
