Space Operations Support and Management

In the Space Operations Support and Management Course, students will participate in various team member roles as they design and plan for the operation of a communications satellite. Students will be given a list of customer requirements and must make decisions affecting the design and operation of the satellite to ensure that the customer’s requirements are being met. Topics covered include orbits, communications theory, satellite operations, launch operations, and mission design. Upon completing this course, students will gain a foundational knowledge of satellite and space operations management and the trade-space that exists within the covered areas.
